This is what $220 a night gets you in Chicago

"If you want a convenient location and don't mind paying for extras, this is for you. The hotel is in a convenient location for shopping! We unloaded our own luggage despite paying $38 for valet parking for 24 hours. If you want to check-out but leave your car parked for shopping/lunch, etc, it's $22 for 2 hours and to check your luggage at the desk while you do those things, that costs extra. The wait for the elevators is between 5-15 minutes. The rooms have unattractive, out-dated wallpaper and small T.V's. They did not provide a bar of soap. For $7 you can get a breakfast of juice, coffee, tea and pastries. Even though check-out is noon, housekeeping knocked at 9 and woke us up. Our T.V. didn't work but was replaced quickly. Upon check-out, the valet was much better. The front-desk staff was very stiff and not personable." - courtesy of a Citysearch user

To this, I add:
Each room does come with a mounted glass display of seemingly antique teacups

A Citysearch user took all that time posting a review and you did not heed their wise words...tsk, tsk. Of course, they didn't mention the charming tea cup collection which undoubtedly made the stay worthwhile.

(Note to self: Read user reviews BEFORE booking room.)
