"A year is a drop in a bucket/When you lose someone you love"

"Souls ain't born, souls don't die"

"Fish swim/Birds fly/Daddies yell/Mamas cry/Old men/Sit and think/I drink"

"Every living thing could use a little mercy now/Only the hand of grace can end the race/Towards another mushroom cloud/People in power, well/They'll do anything to keep their crown"

These are reasons, this person should be relevant.

Believe it or not, we've actually heard her stuff here in Alaska. KNBA...Alaska's Native Voice. Who'da thunk it?

She's great. "Mercy Now" can move you to tears (well, maybe just me).

It's for precisely that move-to-tears capability that "Mercy Now" is NOT a song I want to hear on my radio as I'm lying in bed in the morning, pondering whether or not to bother heading out into the world. Which happened this morning. ARgh!

I still like Filth and Fire best but I haven't spent as much time with Mercy Now as it deserves, so I realize I still have work to do.
